Bonaparte’s Gull

Friday, July 25th, 2014

My first images of a Bonaparte’s Gull! It was well hidden in a jack pine. I really did not expect to find this specie of bird in James Bay. If it had not darted on me in order to prevent me from approaching the nest, I probably would not have seen it.

Bald Eagles of the Conowingo Dam

Wednesday, January 8th, 2014

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Conowingo Dam for the first time. Even though there were not as many eagles as there are normally when I visited in mid-december, I still saw more eagles in one afternoon than I had ever seen. Fewer eagles meant fewer possibilities, but I still managed to get some good images.
